A striking blast of dark espresso, bittersweet cocoa powder, and charred oak dominates the palate, while a pronounced black pepper note rides the retrohale with aggressive authority. Yet beneath this initial assault lies a grounding undercurrent of leather and barnyard—an unmistakable signature of Nicaraguan terroir that anchors the profile in authenticity. As the cigar transitions into the second third, the brutality resolves into nuance: roasted coffee gives way to dark molasses and dried fig, cedar joins the structural backbone, and the pepper pulls back to allow a savory, almost meaty umami character to surface, punctuated by hints of dried dark cherry and earth.
